The Unforsaken's DKP System Setup and Rules
The system of management for loot garnered in Raids used by the guild is a simple one, with a twist. The Unforsaken uses a DKP system of bidding on loot drops in raid zones. If an item drops that is put up for bid, all participating raid members are allowed to spend any accumulated DKP to bid on the item, given they are eligible to use it, set by the item's specifics. The system is a Silent Bidding system, meaning those members interested in the item, will send their MAX bid in a tell to the individual assigned to take the bids during the raid. Currently, minimum DKP bid for an item is 5dkp. The item will go to the highest bidder and they will be charged a total of 5dkp higher than the next highest bid. The Silent Bid system is a good one and works well for us. It keeps everything on a fairly level playing field, keeping people from one upping each other to get an item and it does save on wasted dkp.
If an item drops in a raid and is not needed/wanted by any of the member's present, we will put the item up for bids for Alt's. If you are bidding on an item for an Alt, that character NEEDS to be outside the zone. We don't have the time to wait for a toon to come from Qeynos or Freeport or wherever. If no Alt's need the item, it will either be transmuted or put in the guild bank at the Guild Leader's/Raid Leader's discretion.
We believe in Need Before Greed and we ask that when bidding on items, you NEED them. We don't want people bidding on items and then dropping them on the broker, especially if it is an item that is needed by multiple members of the raid force. Doing this type of thing is grounds for removal from the Guild, with or without warning.
We maintain the guild's DKP server and you can always see what your current dkp is by checking the server. See the link on the Main Home Page. Currently, all scheduled raids will be worth an initial 5 or 10 dkp depending on the zone. This amount may or may not be modified by the Raid Leader to give the raiders bonus dkp for various first kills, zone clearings, etc.
**Fun raids and guild fund raising raids are nbg /ran 1000 with unwanted loot sold for future events and guildhall upkeep. These raids will called out versus normal guild raids.
If you have any questions regarding this system, please speak to a Guild Officer.
